BLACKLICK FIELD
A low and medium volatile coal field mining the Upper, Middle, and Lower Kittanning seams. Large scale coal mining
for export began in the 1890s and peaked. in the 1920s and '30s. It continued until the 1990s. Coal is still being strip mined and occasionally deep mined in the Black Lick Field, but
on nowhere near the scale as the boom years.
