BARR SLOPE, PA
Patch housing is of block construction at Barr Slope, a mine and company
town established in 1905-06 by the Clearfield Bituminous Coal Corp.

There are other types of housing in Barr Slope, such as these single family
"salt box" houses.

The Barr Slope mine closed in the mid 1950s, and a small manufacturing facility
now sits where the tipple used to stand.
