BARR SLOPE, PA

Patch housing is of block construction at Barr Slope, a mine and company town established in 1905-06 by the Clearfield Bituminous Coal Corp.

The Barr Slope mine closed in the mid 1950s, and a small manufacturing facility now sits where the tipple used to stand.
