The Clearfield Bituminous Coal Corp.'s store at Commodore, PA survives as the Green Township
Community Center. At the time this photograph was taken, the building hadn't functioned as a company store for 50 years.

When the Clearfield Bituminous Coal Corporation constructed the Commodore patch in 1920, the chose to build
the houses of pressed blocks like they did earlier at the nearby company towns of Clymer and Barr Slope.

Yet another type of home construction at Commodore

While the workers' housing and company store survive at Commodore, no sign of the coal mining complex is visable.
