FORBES ROAD, PA


Looking up into the Forbes Road patch, which housed the miners of Jamison Coal and Coke Company's No. 3 coal mine and coke ovens.


The machine shop and bath house are still in existence at Forbes Road, PA. Jamison No. 3 mine was opened into the Greensburg Basin of the Pittsburgh seam in 1900 and operated for over 50 years.
